new in: mini satchel

VJ STYLE mini satchel - buy it here

It's finally here! You may remember be rambling on and on about this bag for over a month and it's
finally mine. I blogged about it before here and here and had a little problem choosing a color but
of course at the end I opted for the black one. I will probably end up ordering another one in either
red or forrest green this summer if I know myself well! To me, this is the perfect bag. I have some
bags that are on the big side but the truth is that I hate carrying them around when I am out running
errands. That's the reason why I tend to fall for bags in the medium or small size with a long strap
so I can carry it on my shoulder or as a crossover. It's so much more comfortable!

I can't wait to share with you how I style this bag. I am sure you will be seeing it a lot this summer!
I am planning on doing a little outfit shoot this weekend but according to the forecast it's supposed
to rain, typical on my weekend off. Let's cross our fingers!

instagram diaries

Finally done with finals! After my test I went hiking with my sister at our
local spot and..

.. we then relaxed at the Blue Lagoon in the sun, the weather was unbelievable
that day!

A new favorite! My mom gave me this and it seriously smells so good that I
kind of want to eat it.

A throwback from last May! I love love love this post featuring this gorgeous
Zara fringed dress, the pictures were taken at Loyola Marymount University
in LA.

Went shopping for a birthday gift for my dad at GK Reykjavík and saw this
amazing Alexander McQueen dress! I have been thinking about it ever since..

Wish that every single day was this beautiful!

 |Working as a stylist backstage at a fashion show! How gorgeous are those
Zara shoes?! Clothes are by Free Bird.

Love getting beautiful things in the mail! I was craving a pair of white and
coral lace triangle bras and got these off eBay for $5 each, they are amazing..

What makes my job really hard! I want everything..

Hi everyone.. I am alive after going MIA for the weekend both here and on Instagram! This week
was my last week before starting at my summer job so I wanted to take some time to just have fun
and relax a little bit. I also worked at a fashion show here in my hometown and so much fun doing
that. As you can also see I got some cute stuff in the mail like the lace bras that are a favorite of mine
at the moment. I bought one in black at Urban Outfitters last year and I love it so I wanted to get more
colors. I ended up ordering some from eBay since they were cheaper and I actually think that they are
much better than the one from Urban. I got it in a coral and white color, perfect for the summer.

For the whole year I have not been working so I have had a lot of free time to work on the blog
and do shoots but now for the summer I am juggling both the blog and my new job so it will be
a bit more difficult but I will of course do my very best. I guess it's good practice for the fall when
I start at university and that will take a lot of my free time! But I have some fun summer outfits
planned for you, will do a shoot at the end of the week and I am super excited!

pleat back

ASOS pleat back jumper  (buy here)   |     OASAP skirt     |     VJ STYLE bag (here)     |     ZARA heels     |     CHOIES necklace (here)

So, here we have the last outfit that we shot at this location (see the others here and here..). I have to
say that this one is my favorite, even though the white dress is so gorgeous but this outfit is so much
my style and feels so comfortable at the same time! I am using a lot of new items in this posts (jumper,
the bag, the necklace..) and I love the styling all together. It's pretty basic but the statement necklace
adds that extra touch that it needs. I instantly fell in love with this jumper while browsing Asos, when
I saw the pleat back there was no turning back! You have seen the bag before here, it's a favorite.

I really hope you liked the posts we shot here at this location! We had such a fun time shooting there
and it's so nice to have a great place to shoot inside when the weather does not allow us to shoot the
pictures outside. But our goal this summer is to shoot some amazing pictures in all sorts of locations
here in Iceland, I really want to capture the gorgeous nature and city life in the upcoming outfits!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thank you for reading.

new in: statement piece

Look what waited for me on my nightstand in a cute little pink box when I came home yesterday! You
must know already that I have a slightly huge obsession with statement necklaces. I usually wear super
simple outfits so a statement necklace is a nice touch to add to make sure that the outfit does not become
boring. I found this one on a particularly slow evening while hanging at my boyfriends studio (it makes
time to do some online browsing, oops..) and when I first laid my eyes on it I knew it had to be mine.
Now, two days later I have the most perfect outfit planned for this and I can't wait to show it to you!

I found it on an Icelandic store called Velvet and it has been a favorite of mine for a while now. You
could say that it is my new go to place for jewelry and accessories since we don't have Forever 21 or
H&M here in Iceland. I also got these super cute infinity rings the other day and have been wearing
them ever since, I just love simple and dainty jewelry!

little white eyelet dress

DAHLIA eyelet dress (buy it here)     |     ALDO shoes

White dresses continue to be a summer favorite of mine this year. You may remember my obsession
with them last year (see posts here and here) and it seems I am nowhere near getting bored of them.
I actually now have over 10 white dresses and this eyelet one from Dahlia is the newest addition to
the little family. I was so excited to receive it and it did not fail me when I tried it on, it fit me like a
glove. Plus, how gorgeous is the buckle detailed back?!

I wish I could wear this dress outside right now but it's just too cold to go barelegged so I decided to
shoot this dress inside and there was no location more perfect than this gorgeous concert hall called
Harpan in Reykjavík. I know that this dress will be a stable piece of my summer wardrobe, since it
is an easy piece to dress up or down! What is your favorite summer trend?

striped + quilted

ASOS striped tee (buy it here)     |     FOREVER21 leather skirt     |     ZARA sandals (here)    |     66° NORTH jacket

If you follow me on Instagram (@alexsandrab..) you may have seen that I did a little shoot with my
photographer (and sister..) at Harpan, a concert hall in Reykjavík. I am so excited to show you the
results from the shoot but first I wanted to share with you the outfit that I wore that day. You may
also have noticed on Instagram that I just got a new jacket the other day and I am finally getting the
chance to show you an outfit featuring it. I have literally been wearing it like crazy since I got it.
I love love love that it is quilted and oh, it's just so comfy and goes with so many things. Since we
did a little shopping before the shoot I wanted to stay comfortable so I wore my leather skirt with
my new striped t-shirt from ASOS (buy it here). It's seriously the most comfortable t-shirt ever!

Stay tuned after the weekend for the results of the shoot.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

One of my favorite things to do is visit Ikea! I love that store and I always find
something cute to take home with me. On my most recent trip I picked up these
cute glasses for the summer as well as some other goodies (hint: the vase and
white hydrangea in the background).

Working on the three part style posts featuring the peach jacket. I had so much
fun shooting these and planning the outfits, see the first one here, the second
one here and the last one (which is also my favorite) here.

I am not lying when I say that I am a shopaholic. Here are some pieces that I
ordered from ASOS and Forever 21 as well as some Zara and H&M goodies
from my mom.

Among the goodies was this gorgeous green printed bikini that I blogged about
here. I can't wait until the sun comes out so I can use them.

I love small and dainty jewelry so this arrow necklace from ASOS immediately
caught my eye when browsing online. I knew I had to get it and I do not regret
it. You can get your's here.

It's that time of year again, finals! I graduated over a year ago but I took one
class this semester to get ready for college this fall.

New jacket for the summer from 66° North. I have two parkas from them (this
one in black and this one in shiny red) and I love them both but they are way
to heavy for the summer so this one is perfect and I love that it's quilted.
You can buy it here!

Me + my photographer (and sister..) at a outfit shoot at a gorgeous location!
You will see the results in the next post this Friday.

Beautiful summer pieces at Zara! I have such a hard time going to that store
since I want every single item in that store! I fell in love with this dress..

.. and it may have followed me home! I decided not to get it at
first but then I went to grab some dinner and could not get it
out of my mind so I ran just before the store closed! It is so
pretty and I can't wait to wear it with some heels and slicked
back hair this summer.

I also got this gorgeous one piece nightwear! I love these things and I am a
sucker for cute PJ's. Even though these are not that comfy to sleep in it was
just too cute to leave without. I love the print and the lace details. I got it
at Lindex and got a new belt there as well, don't know why I never go
there more often, they have really cute stuff.

Love starting my mornings off with a nice breakfast. This is my favorite at the
moment, banana pancakes with coconut flakes and fresh fruit. The pancakes
are so easy to make, you just mash one banana and add one egg and mix. Then
you put it on a medium heated pan until they get that golden color.

I guess you can say that my Instagram feed this week was filled with a lot of new goodies. First of all,
my parents came home from Glasgow with a whole bunch of new clothes and shoes for me. Second,
I found the jacket that I have been craving for some weeks and I just had to get that (on sale, score!)
and last but not least, I went shopping with my sister! We are both serious shopaholics so when we
go together, it can be dangerous! But, I love all the new pieces I got and can't wait to start planning
outfits and shooting some for you this summer.

I also wanted to remind you that the giveaway closes on Friday! You can see more info about
it here but the only thing you need to do to enter is to like me on Facebook and comment on
the post how you would style the bag, pretty simple right?!

peach jacket III

VIVILLI jacket (here on sale)     |     MANGO shirt     |     OASAP skirt     |     ZARA heels     |     H&M sunnies

So here we have the third and last styling of the peach jacket (see the first post here and the second
one here). This styling is my favorite of the tree and you know what they say, always save the best
for last!  I have had the idea of this outfit in my mind for so long and I have no idea why I haven't
shot this outfit before. I love the simplicity here as well as the light colors and the whole look is so
feminine and classy. I paired the jacket with a white basic Mango shirt (it's one of my best purchases
ever..), a black basic skater skirt that you have seen me in way too many times, black strappy Zara
heels, a black clutch and some fun pastel sunnies!

I hope you enjoyed these styling posts and let me know if you want me to do them more often! Since
I am a student I can't spend as much as I would like on clothes and shoes so it's very important to buy
pieces that you can use often in different stylings. It is also so much fun playing around with different
stylings because often, you get something amazing out of it and it's a great way to express yourself!

peach jacket II

VIVILLI jacket     |     SUGARLIPS dress (here)    |     ZARA heels     |     VJ STYLE clutch (here)

Here is the second styling of the gorgeous peach jacket! In the first post I styled it with jeans, t-shirt and
sneakers for a casual day look but for this look, I wanted to go more dressier. I got this dress a couple of
weeks ago in the mail from the lovely people over at Sugarlips and as soon as I got it I wanted to go out
and shoot it right away! The only problem that was stopping me was the cold weather and snow so the
dress waited patiently in the closet for a warm sunny day.

How gorgeous is the print and the mix of colors! It's the perfect dress for the summer and I can see me
wearing it at the beach on a hot day running around in the ocean! Sadly, there is only one beach here
in Iceland and the ocean is pretty cold. But I know what I will pack first if I go on vacation soon!
Stay tuned for the last styling, which is also my favorite!
